Dissonance: The Cover

The green light was finally flickering across the switch in my right hand. With a revolting mixture of terror and excitement welling in my stomach, I heard myself call, "ready to post!"

The others turned their heads, eyes wide. Just beyond us, behind a barrier of postponements and blog posts, the misshaped mass of impatient readers strained. Our last defenses were beginning to crumble.

"Denial!" Mindblower shouted, "are you SURE this will work?"

I grinned my most maniacal grin. "I have no idea."
